Presentation: Many organizations and quality professionals find it challenging to apply risk-based thinking to the new version of the ISO 9001 standard; part of the requirements, organizations shall demonstrate evidence of applied risk-based thinking in the established quality management systems.
Identifying qualitative risks, analyzing, assessing and mitigating them proactively are becoming increasing important activities in the global business world.
The presentation will provide a systematic approach/proven methodology, key steps to apply RBT, risk assessment techniques and how you can demonstrate conforming evidence of applied risk-based thinking to ISO 9001:2015 auditors.
Akhilesh is a professional engineer registered with APEGA, ASQ Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence, Exemplar Global Certified Lead QMS Auditor, Certified Business Manager with over 27 years of diverse industrial experience primarily in Quality Management Systems’ (QMS) design, development, deployment, assessment and continual improvement with recognized international corporations e.g. LG Electronics, Weatherford, Tyco Controls, Enbridge; he is practicing exceptional consulting, organizational excellence, leadership, analytical and decision making skills to accomplish organizational goals.
Akhilesh developed and deployed “Risk-based Quality Assurance” methodology to proactively identify and mitigate risks, he has also bolstered, evolved and led core quality culture that earned CEPA Foundation’s 2017 Quality Award for the organization.
ASQ Canada – Member since January 1999, became member leader in March 2001, served as Section Chair from 2006 to 2009 (earned two Total Quality Management Awards); Deputy Regional Director (2014 – 2018), developed numerous tools to enhance member values, delivered quality related presentations to sections and has been mentoring & supporting quality fraternity since 2001, currently he is serving as Publicity Chair with Edmonton Section.
